Holyhead is the largest town on the island of Anglesey in Wales, and is probably best known for its busy ferry port and the direct connections to Dublin in Ireland. The port itself has limited facilities for passengers, however, the close proximity to the town centre makes it easily accessible by road as well as having regular bus connections and train services.

Dun Laoghaire is a large seaport town situated at the foot of the Dublin Mountains in Ireland, 10 miles south of Dublin city centre. The main ferry port of Dun Laoghaire has been operating for over 100 years, and the new modern terminal has good passenger facilities and access to public transport and road systems.
