Newhaven is in East Sussex in the south of England at the mouth of the river Ouse. The port of Newhaven is ideally situated between the seaside towns of Brighton and Eastbourne and is the closest port to London with direct links to France. The train connection to the port is ideal with the station a short walk from the passenger terminal running regular services, as well as good connections to the motorways to the rest of the UK.

Dieppe is a commune in the Seine-Maritime part of France and the gateway to Normandy. Known as a fishing port and most famous for its scallops. Dieppe has its own Ferry port with direct links to the English port of Newhaven. The passenger terminal is very basic with only one shop and café.
