CAR
MOTORBIKE & PASSENGER FERRY BOOKING CONDITIONS
|
| These
conditions apply to all car, motorbike & passenger vehicle
ferry bookings with Cheapferry.co.uk (hereafter referred
to as The Company) and replace all previous conditions.
|
|
Your
booking for ferry travel does not form a contract with
The Company. All bookings are subject to availability
and the following conditions in addition to the conditions
of the ferry operators. The Company is not responsible
for any errors or omissions of the ferry operators and
acts only as an agent.

| Fares
& General Information |

| Fares
are based on vehicle type, the number of passengers, ferry
route(s) and travel dates and times and may require you
to depart and return to or from the point of departure
within a specified period of time. If you stay longer
than your booking allows, or less than the booking allows
or misuse the terms of the booking and conditions or any
promotion, the full cost of the appropriate fare will
be charged. Any additional charges are payable prior to
boarding. VEHICLE AND PASSENGER SPACE PLUS ON BOARD
ACCOMMODATION ARE SUBJECT TO ALLOCATIONS AND THEREFORE
MAY NOT ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE WITH CERTAIN TYPES OF FARE.
Promotional fares are subject to additional special conditions
including that if any portion of any itinerary is not
used, we reserve the right to cancel. The Company retains
the right to vary our fares according to market conditions
or where costs beyond our control, (e.g. currency fluctuations,
oil prices and government legislation) make such action
necessary. |
| All
departure/arrival times are estimated and are given as
local times - please refer to your booking confirmation.
Sailing schedules may be interrupted and/or crossing times
extended due to adverse weather conditions and/or tidal
conditions or other circumstances. The Company cannot
accept liability for any costs or inconvenience caused
in these and other circumstances where "force majeure"
applies, but will try to notify you, if practical, using
the contact number provided at the time of booking. It
may be necessary to use alternative ships on any sailing
or to change/withdraw the facilities/services available
for various operational, technical or scheduling reasons.

| For
overnight crossings, reservations cannot be made or purchased
on some services without on board accommodation. |
| The
transport of small domestic pets to or from Europe must
be in accordance with the relevant requirements of the
countries concerned and a charge is made for their transportation.
Please seek advice from your vet. |
| Vehicles
exceeding 6.5m in length, which are not specifically constructed
or adapted for the carriage of passengers are subject
to freight tariffs, as are vehicles of lesser dimensions
but which are carrying merchandise. For further information

| Confirmation
& Payment |
|
When you contact The Company to
make a booking we require full payment whereupon we issue
a confirmation advice that sets out the details of your
reservation and provides other information. The Passenger
Manifest Directive now makes it a legal requirement to
record the names and ages of all persons travelling. Unless
a credit account has been established all bookings must
be prepaid at time of booking before a confirmation is
issued. Payment can be by credit/debit card. |
| If
payment is made by credit card additional charges may
apply for certain types of card the amount or balance
due will be taken from that card at the time of booking.
If payment is made by debit card no card charges apply.

| Once
details have been confirmed to you either by electronic
confirmation via our website or by email or telephone
or fax, a confirmation based on these booking conditions
will be deemed to have come into effect between us without
our issuing tickets. An invoice/receipt and booking confirmation
will additionally be issued within 7 days of the booking
confirmation and will be sent by post to the address stated
at the time of booking, this does apply to online bookings
which are handled electronically. |
| Amendment
& Cancellation Fees |
|
| An
amendment fee of £10 is payable for any change to your
booking. A cancellation will result in a £25 cancellation
fee being charged per vehicle on full fare bookings. No
refund will be applicable to any of the following: day
return, 24 hour return, early booking offers, super apex
fares or any other special offers or promotional fares.
All and any refunds where applicable in any event may
only be made solely at the discretion of the Company and
the Company reserves the right to withhold refunds where
it is deemed appropriate by the Company. |
| Check
in |
|
| You
must check in at least 45 minutes before sailing time,
otherwise boarding cannot be guaranteed as wait lists
may have been accepted. If you have special requirements,
or have received our permission to transport animals or
dangerous goods, please arrive at least 60 minutes before
sailing. We will not carry passengers under the age of
16 unless an adult of 18 years or older accompanies them.
The ferry operator(s) and The Company (as agents) have
absolute discretion whether or not to accept any passenger,
their vehicle or luggage on board. You must have all necessary
travel documents to enter the countries which you intend
to visit and for re-entry into the country of departure,
if you do not have valid documents you will not be able
to board. |
| Any
litigation concerning the interpretation or execution
of the Company's liabilities and responsibilities shall
be submitted only to the English Courts who will pass
judgement according to English Law and Jurisdiction. |
